That's the thread I started over there. Had some good bottles I won't be receiving.
I'm surprised it took this long. Most retailers stopped shipping a few years ago when Texas started enforcing the law that retailers had to have a physical store here to ship wines to consumers' homes in the state.
Pretty easy to get around with contract shipping. I buy it there, take possession, and hire a service to pick up my wine and ship it to me.
I use.....Stagecoach.

I think it does as long as I contract the service, and not the retailer.

Hand punching is actually pretty efficient. Also thorough and gentle! But yes, they do make tools...

I got to punch down some nice juice in Napa a few years ago. It was a fun learning process, but now I know why they have interns.
Yeah, this was my third time. I think the "fun" will be about gone after the fifth...

It's pretty aromatic, but washes off. Fingernails are a different issue.

And the safety harness isn't to protect the wine. CO2 production in those tanks can be very deadly if you fall in!

Anyone on this board able to help this poster out with a possible vineyard purchase? I have no idea why there's 20 acres of vines north of Houston but it seem intriguing.

Had a bottle of '10 Pott Her Majesty with some Cane Rosso pizza for dinner tonight. Seemed a little young but still a very good wine. Had one of the deepest purple colors I can remember seeing in a wine as well.

Anybody received any shipping notices yet? Most of my allocations came 1st week of Nov last year, but I haven't seen any ship dates yet. With the hot fall we're having in Tx, we might not get our juice till Thanksgiving!

I almost pulled the trigger on some 2013 Spottswoode today but held back. The same can't be said for 2013 Dalla Valle, 2013 Dalla Valle Maya, and 2014 Fait Main Chardonnay.
