What's only 12 years old? The Sazerac that's part of the BTAC collection is an 18 year whiskey.

my neighborhood liquor store got Stagg and 3 btls of PVW yesterday.

Asking $400 for the 15 year and is not sure yet what he wants for the Stagg.

The PVW theft is providing an excuse to retailers to jack up the cost.

Every one of them explains that the theft has limited supply; hence the increased cost.

But it was only cases of the 20 year that was stolen, right?

I stopped by a certain store in Katy today that was selling the Antique collection stuff for $199/bottle. They said they're getting the 15, 20, and 23 in next week. I don't even want to know what they are going to sell those for.

A little hole in the wall store off of Hwy 6. Last year they didn't get anything, this year they got 7 or 8 bottles of various distills of Van Winkle.

A buddy of mine bought all but 2 of them, I swung by on the way to his place to pick up the 3 bottles he bought for me and they still had the Rye 13 sitting on the counter, so i decided to go ahead and pick it up.

What BTAC are you looking for?

WLW or Saz 18

I stopped by my 2 "regular" stores last night. One of them received the PVW, and said they will be emailing regular customers soon. They said regulars will have first crack, we'll have 72 hours to respond, and that the email will explain things more. The liquor manager told me the Pappy 20 was going to be about $150, which I think is $30-35 more than they priced it last year. The good thing is that one of my buddies is a huge beer guy & spends probably $2,000+/year at this store, so I'm hoping he can get a bottle as well. I've bribed him with a couple bombers of beer.

The other store will be amiling out a date where it will be first come, first served.... probably middle of next week. It's probably way more effort than it's worth, but this stuff is fun to me.

Got another Four Roses 125 today, but it's spoken for. Seems like my local shop got more than Specs.

Anyone with an extra 4 Roses 125th Anniversary that they would like to sell? I have searched for almost a month. My email is in my profile.

Anyone who picked up a VW13 Rye this year, what is the laser date code? Mine is a '12 bottling. Maybe VW just held back bottles from last years bottling, which makes sense...

I'll have to check mine out when I get home. Not sure that I even looked to be honest.
