The NAS you are referring to is a 100% "PASS". No consistency and the batches vary greatly.

ElGato - I live in CS. Got this at Specs. Was on the wait list and got the call today. Go up there and put your name on the list for next year. Or check with them first thing tomorrow and see if any bottles went unclaimed.

Did you get your Pappy from a Specs store?

The hunt for Pappy is extra tight this year. I called one store that I spent a decent amount of money at, and they've changed their tone since last week. It was supposed to be the same as last year, where they call or email 1-2 days before the Pappy/BTAC is to be released & say that the Pappy will be available at 9:00 am on a certain date.

Well, right now they said there is no notification list & they would only be notifying regular customers by email or weekly email/newsletter & letting us know what options are available (year & price) once they receive shipment. There were two guys on the phone & they were all over the map. One of the guys sounded angry, so I asked "do I need to show proof of how much I've spent at your store?", and he then verified that I'll be notified. It was kind of weird.

I can't find WLW anywhere in Austin. Twin has 26 bottles in their warehouse, but won't say where it is going or when.

There are 3 bottles of Handy and 6 bottles of Presidential Select 21 on a shelf now for $199 ea.

Also lots of Buffalo Trace Single Oak and Experimental $89+ on shelves now too.

Everything is over priced.

I've seen Handy at Specs for $75.

I just bought a bot of Handy for $75 at Specs.

Yes, specs sells handy for $75. And Costco sells select 21 for $99.

My point was how redic prices are at some joints.

Specs has none in the Austin area. I'm told Twin has 26 bottles in their warehouse, but no one at any Twin Liquors can tell me where those bottles are going. One store told me it could be reserved for restaurants. I don't get that. I thought TL was a retailer, not a distributor.

Anybody want to speculate why TL has 26 bottles in their warehouse?

I find the Select 21 to be terrible.

18 is pretty damned good. I've got 3 bottles of that.

Are you guys scoring all the Pappy on lists or did you take the day off of work and find them all?

I lucked out in getting an ER17.
