I have one bottle of Saz 18 (I'm convinced I got lucky), but the WLW has eluded me so far. I am certain that the Specs Smith Street store has 9 bottles, but they say they are sold out. Not what their computer system says, so once again...

I am getting a little sick of seeing people repeat the "WL Weller 12 is the same thing as PVW 15, just a few years younger". According to this logic, Matt Joeckle is not even a lesser version of Luke. He is the same age, therefore just as good and ready to start for the Jags on Sunday. The Matthews family ages children into All-Pro NFL players at an exponentially higher rate than BT does of aging a barrel of wheated bourbon well enough to qualify for Pappy.

Man Chop, it looks like you are pretty set on Stagg Jr and BMH for a while!

When did you pick up that ORVW 107/10? I really liked that bottle style, so I was a little bummed when I saw they changed it this year. It is one of my favorites, and now its getting sucked up with the rest of the Van Winkle hype.

I actually have 2 more bottles of BMH on hold for me cause I enjoy it so much. The Stagg Jr to me is one of my top 5 bourbons...love that stuff.

I picked up the PVW 10 at a Little Liquor Store in Cypress a few months ago, said the bottle got "misplaced" and he recently put it on the shelf 20 mins before I walked in....super lucky.

The gf didn't like how much fishing I was doing, so I started up a new hobby. Same with craft beer...prob have 30 bottles in my fridge/pantry

Anyone have any different bourbon cocktails they use when not drinking neat? Besides the typical old fashioned or manhatten.

I have been making Lions Tails with a bottle of Allspice Dram I picked up in Jamaica. Good drink for this time of the year.

2 oz bourbon
0.5 oz allspice dram
0.5 oz lime juice
1 tsp simple syrup
dash of bitters
shake with ice

I just picked up Four Roses 125th at Twins, so it's finally reached Austin.

I also picked up some John J. Bowman Virginia single barrel. Anyone tried that? (I bought it on a lark since the wife's family name is Bowman and we can drink it with them at Thanksgiving).

youandwhosearmy, I recently had a "Rio Grande" with equal parts bourbon and tequila, along with some lemon juice, lime juice, and syrup. A little sweet but tasty.

Well damn we're trading? I'll trade a jps 18 unopened for a pvw 15 or older. I can throw a 21 in that's barely been touched for the 23 if need be. Let me know if interested. Hell I got an unopened bottle of green label as well. Let's make a trade lol.
