So BSD made a quick trip up to CS to pick up some table he bought this afternoon. Had him over to the house for a bit and we had a beer.

Beer to Go passed the Senate. Now to the Governors desk. They amended to only allow a certain amount of beer to be purchased a day. I still think it's something ridiculous like 2 cases...

What's interesting is that the breweries I currently go to, mostly B-52, already sell to-go. I wonder if this will remove the cap on barrels per year? I think they've stayed small only so they could sell to-go. I could care less about buying beer directly from Shiner.

Seems like most breweries classify themselves as brew pubs now so they can sell to go. However... if they ever got big enough they'd have to be breweries and wouldn't be able to sell to go anymore. I think this only affects like 13 breweries, but the argument is that's it's dumb to penalize a brewery for getting to large. Plus, I'm sure there's various fees and such that brew pubs have to pay.dave99ag said:

Also... apparently this bill has to go back to the House because it was amended, but it's just a formality.

I would assume this means that b52 could expand now if they wanted to go through the process of changing their license from brewpub to brewery.

Stopped in at Appalachian Brewing in Gettysburg for lunch in the middle of touring the battlefield. Beers are decent. The battlefield is incredible. Bucket list item checked off!

I think that batch of Miracle Bubbles was left in primary too long, mine tasted soapy.
My daughter had her dance recital tonight. Started at 6:30 and we got home about 9:40 or so. So I decided to crack this open as a treat for myself for not murdering the people who planned 3 hour ****ing dance recital.

I feel for you dude. My daughter gave up dance and took up an art class this year. My recital days should be over.
I don't mind the recitals normally. But being at 6:30 is just dumb. This is her 4th year and they have all been in the early afternoon. Plus the dance school got extra creative this year and added a bunch of superlative crap to the recital. Oh well. It's over now and we will rest up the next two days.
Kids can be real *******s sometimes
Back at Troegs tonight. It is packed. It's a really cool place to hang out and drink some really tasty brews.
