Just to add. Easy to drink for a 12%. I wanted a more hop forward beer but it is complimented by the malt. I think it is hard to make a triple IPA that has the nose and hop presence of its lighter brothers.

Enjoying a few beers at Anchorage Brewing. Chatted with an engineer from Three Floyds on vacation. Interesting to hear how they want to design a destination brewery (if you've been, you'd know it's not), but the challenges of growth.

Tap rooms open. It's actually kind of a weird confluence of your typical brewery industrial chic and more of fancy pants clean, modern vibe. It works. You can tell they still have a ways to go, though.

Two more beer boxes arrived while we were in Alaska (red-eye flights are brutal). Thanks to txag2008 and Chipotlemonger! It's hard to see on the trophy, but it says "We Know Stuff" on one side and the winners on the back. Quality work!

This is an American pale lager (first available in 1982). Barley malt, hops, and rice. Wide availability and everybody should be able to find it. AbV slightly less than 5%.
