What's interesting is that the breweries I currently go to, mostly B-52, already sell to-go. I wonder if this will remove the cap on barrels per year? I think they've stayed small only so they could sell to-go. I could care less about buying beer directly from Shiner.

Seems like most breweries classify themselves as brew pubs now so they can sell to go. However... if they ever got big enough they'd have to be breweries and wouldn't be able to sell to go anymore. I think this only affects like 13 breweries, but the argument is that's it's dumb to penalize a brewery for getting to large. Plus, I'm sure there's various fees and such that brew pubs have to pay.

Also... apparently this bill has to go back to the House because it was amended, but it's just a formality.

I would assume this means that b52 could expand now if they wanted to go through the process of changing their license from brewpub to brewery.

Stopped in at Appalachian Brewing in Gettysburg for lunch in the middle of touring the battlefield. Beers are decent. The battlefield is incredible. Bucket list item checked off!

I feel for you dude. My daughter gave up dance and took up an art class this year. My recital days should be over.

I don't mind the recitals normally. But being at 6:30 is just dumb. This is her 4th year and they have all been in the early afternoon. Plus the dance school got extra creative this year and added a bunch of superlative crap to the recital. Oh well. It's over now and we will rest up the next two days.
