Damn, that's too bad. Definitely one of the most beautiful breweries in the country, with great beer too. Hope it's able to find a way to survive in mostly its current form.

Ehh… Jester King hasn't been the same for 2-3 years now. They went hard into IPA's. I went out there about a year ago and there wasn't even a fruited sour to be had. Jester King used to be an event and you didn't mind driving the 45 minutes to get out there. Why would I drive all the way out there anymore just to get some mediocre IPA's?

There's 2 breweries in Austin absolutely printing money right now and it's Meanwhile and PHP. Would be amazing if Meanwhile just took over JK.

It's been a little over a year since I've been out there as well and noticed the same about the beers. I do like their NZ hop pilsner and the pickle pizza, but not enough to justify the drive out.

i know they don't have the same depth of sours they did before, but several of the ones I use to buy to trade are basically shelf turds at Specs these days.

Looks like we're only getting the small bottles of the original again this year. Of the new variants, I'd only seek out the Tiramisu one and maybe the triple barrel, but I'm sure that one isn't cheap. As usual, everything should be releasing on Black Friday.
