Been hearing lots of good things around SA about this one. Finally found one and I have to say it does not disappoint.

Cracked open a 'not the stoic' tonight that I've had since 5/2014. Damn, that's easily top 3 beers I've ever had.

Adelbert's is havin a cellar sale. BA Naked Nun. Looks pretty tasty.

Ironically I ended up yesterday around 5pm at Braindead. Had 1.5 house beers (the 0.5 was a Dubbel that I got the last bit of!) and a Ninkasi Tricerahops. Their veggie chips and queso are damn good.

I really enjoyed the house Rye IPA...but would definitely call it more of just a rye pale ale. Similar to the Grapevine Lakefire beer. I love rye beers.

It was extremely busy and we were lucky to find a full open table. Planning on going back for a lunch sometime soon.

Since we were taking peanut butter beer the other day...

Nice. And 2011 at that.

That was my last FFaC of that vintage. According to Page 5(!) of this thread, I started with 8. But it was, oh, so delicious. I savored my half for about an hour.

Just '12 and '13, I think. October 2012 was the last time I went out personally to grab them (the whole "not drinking" thing started in June 2013) and someone sent me a '13.

Had my Blue Wax Perpetual Peace this weekend. That. Was. Awesome.

I had set aside a Chocolate BBH for the game of thrones premiere two weeks ago. I didn't get to it that night nor the next Sunday. Finally cracked into it. Had forgotten how good that is. I think I only have one left.

Also had Boulevard's Collaboration #5 while I was making dinner. Tropical Pale Ale. Fantastic.

In Alcohol related news, Frisco voted against liquor sales in city limits this weekend with 70% against the measure. WTF is wrong with people?
I live in McKinney, but it would have been nice.

I never understood the logic of not selling liquor in a city. The argument I always heard (I grew up in a completely dry county in East Texas) was that it could cause more alcohol related accidents.

That argument seems silly; it may make it harder to get liquor (you have to go to Plano, The Colony, or maybe Melissa), but if you want it you are still going to get it. We drove the 10 miles to Louisiana to get beer.

Seems like it's just going to lose tax dollars for the cities that stay dry while the rest are not.

But what do I know?

I think it is equally as stupid that liquor stores are not open on Sunday, and that beer and wine cannot be purchased in a grocery store on Sundays until after noon.

Wow. That's really interesting. It seems like the trend over the last decade or so is dry cities & counties voting themselves wet. I grew up in a formerly dry town that repealed it 10 or so years ago.

The cluster of liquor stores that were just across the city limits all dried up once they voted in liquor sales.
