CoF fans - Karbach is goin to be at Growlers Montrose Friday at 5, will have it in bottles and also on tap.

Now this is much better. Austin Beerworks Heavy Machinery Half IPA. So good.
And Hub - awesome. I'm getting a bottle soon but thinking I'll age it for a while.

So I got this via ups from my buddy in San Antonio. It's not bad. Not great either. I expect more sourness from it since it's a Flander's Sour.
Did anyone here happen to pick up an extra Victory White Monkey?

That sucks to hear. A while back The Hay Merchant had a merlot barrel-aged Golden Monkey (don't know if it was done at the brewery or if it was something they did in-house) that was outstanding.

On second thought, since it's only a 4oz sample of the the beer, I wouldn't go any way. Too much effort to just try the beer and not have an opportunity to buy any bottles of Cantillon.
Picked up a couple of BB XXV's today

Most places usually get a keg or two of other Cantillon offerings. Along with Zwanze, there was Fou Foune and St Lamvinus at Zwanze Day 2012. That was at Crooked Stave. It was one of the best beer days of my life.
I would have skipped any other football game to go to Zwanze day 2013. It is absolutely worth it.

Wandered upon a bottle of XXV at HEB. Picked up some growlers of Karbachtoberfest (good stuff), Live Oak Hefe, Buffalo Bayou Xmas Wit today at Growlers in Montrose.

I love the dessert ones I've tried (creme brûlée and pumking) but you gotta know they are very sweet before drinking them. I wasn't all that impressed with the other beers I've had from them.
I tried the creme brulee about a year ago, and I didn't know what to expect. Hated it, but I think I'd give it another go.
Prairie Artisan Ales Prairie Hop tonight--delicious! I'm pretty impressed with this brewery. I had their 'Merica a couple of weeks ago and it is also a great saison.
Have any of you tried the Sam Adams Double Bock or the Emperial White? Thoughts or comments on either of those beers?
