I'm curious if Rahm were to win a second green jacket, would the PGAT extend an invitation for membership?

Does the PGAT have control over sponsors' exemptions?
I think I read on the Championship Series in 2028 that there will be zero sponsorship exemptions. Rahm better make hay in 2027 on the DP Tour ala Patrick Reed in 2026 to earn his card. He is definitely going to have to pay a monster fine and be good with it.JCA1 said:bagger05 said:

Almost positive they do. And I'm pretty sure as part of Koepka's deal, he wasn't eligible for sponsors' exemptions, at least for the signature events.

I believe a 5yr exemption comes with winning a major but maybe that only applies to active PGAT members

Given his Spanish nationality and his often publicized enjoyment of European golf, I don't think the DP Tour for a year matters at all to Rahm.

Having four children under five years old and residing in the U.S. may be a factor.

the fact that I had know clue he has 4 kids now goes to show what LIV did to his marketability.

Wasn't lack of autonomy over their NIL one of the reasons Phil and others gave for why they hated the tour? And come to find out, they all signed their NIL over to LIV in an even more restrictive fashion? Color me shocked.

I am sure Phil collected some nice "placement fees" for the guys he convinced to come over to LIV. He should never sniff a tour sanctioned event again at any level.ColoradoMooseHerd said:JCA1 said:bagger05 said:

Phil has been and always will be a fraud. It just took some longer to figure it out. Phil is like a politician. If his mouth is moving, he is lying.

He better keep that gambling habit under control because he will forever be persona non grata in professional golf and his name is no longer marketable because even if you are good with his LIV bs, now he's a perv too. His future income streams are basically gone.

I'm trying to think. Is there any other sports fall from grace as big as Phil's? From top 2 in the sport (and arguably the fan favorite) to a guy who can't even show his face in the golf ecosystem. Other than OJ, I can't think of any modern comparisons.

Don't worry. He can hang with his boy toy Grant Horvat and his YT buddies.

OJ is probably #1 by a wide margin, but Lance Armstrong might be right there with Phil
