His putting has been awful. And his irons used to be top 5, now he's a little better than ordinary.

Sucks Bennett's group isn't one of the featured ones...he's already on the second green and so far the broadcast has only shown his opening drive (unless I missed a shot) despite him birdieing the first.

Leaving your 35 foot putt 8 feet short and 3 putting would easily qualify as "poor putting." Not sure what you are trying to get at here?

Was it a straight uphill putt? How much break did it have?

George Thomas' signature was an opening par 5 to get players away from the clubhouse followed by a tough par 5. Hole 2 is playing to a stroke average of 4.3.

My point is to not use one data point based upon a computer graphic to come to the conclusion that he's putting poorly.

It rained a bit overnight. The course will undoubtedly firm up. The morning wave took advantage of the conditions and that may make the difference on Sunday.
