Wonder what private jet will fly Sam home Sunday night so he can tee it up in the Aggie Invitational Monday morning?

Nope. He T12 and ties get invited back the following year.

I remembered some of the story about Ken Venturi in 1956 from The Match. But I just relooked it up and man -- just brutal.
He was four clear after three rounds and shot 42 on the back nine for an 80 -- TO LOSE BY ONE.

I didn't realize that. Would think Sam would turn pro then right after NCAA tournament.

But I have a ton of golf books to catch up on.
