Moved up to 107th in the world rankings after last week. 20 weeks ago he was 541. Would be amazing if he can stay on this trajectory and get himself into the Top 50 by early 2019

What's his relationship with A&M like if anyone knows. I heard some talk among some folks that he left because he wasn't happy with JT. The people I heard that from are in tune with the program I believe.

Played a conservative round, used the driving iron 5 times on the back and the way he putts it was almost unfair.

Looked easy.

63, tied for 2nd!

He has 44 drives of 340+ this season and the next closest has 21.

Agree - but Champ really didn't hit his approaches close enough today to give himself good chances. Even when he did manage to hit it close (11), he missed the putt. Still another nice tourney for him.

He left two on the lip and another 2 inches short. Make 2 of those 3 and he is in the playoff. Meanwhile Rodgers made one from 85 feet. Sometimes it's just not your day.

Interesting piece about him in Golf magazine. Very long piece. I read it on Flipboard so I can't link it but when his grandfather was asked about the name Champ he said it was the family's slave name in Virginia and that Cameron picked TAMU without knowing his grandfather was once denied service at a restaurant in College Station while he was serving in the US Military.
