Accurate but the earlier events were sponsors exemptions - not with his card earned a month ago.

792 PLUS 2 year exemption. The way he plays, that may not matter but even Tiger talked about the relief of that first win and the exemption.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Champs distance does to Augusta National.

I think he wins earlier 2019 to qualify for Masters.

Will be elite player by this time next year.

Future of golf is in good hands.



Reminds me of myself when I was his age....... minus 30 lbs. of muscle and 150 yds. driver distance .

I think it will. He hits it over 300 in the air, and with the top spin he produces Holes 2, 9, 10, 11, and 15 will be great for him cause he can fly it to the downslopes and catching that downslope could produce 70 yds of roll if not more on those holes.

On a similar note, his game could translate real well at The Open Championship

The wild card is he hit 35% of fairways on Sunday and less than 50% overall on the tournament, but in distance, he averaged 20 yards longer than the #2. Crazy stats.

So we'll see how he tackles the right-to-left heavy Augusta setup where it's easy to bang drives into the pines. Will be fun to watch

Fair point. Since Sanderson doesn't get a full point allocation, it doesn't count as a win as far as getting a Masters invite whereas usually winning on Tour since the last Masters does get you an invite.

Ryan Armour won Sanderson last year and didn't end up qualifying for the Masters. So yeah, Cam is still going to need to work himself into the top 50 in the world rankings by then, or win another PGA tournament that does get a full point allocation.
