If SPXL can get to $186 then I'll move my stop to just above my entry.
Any update on SPXL if I wanted to buy today?
If you buy today, stop should be $186.75

Another interesting electrical type company: APH

Amphenol Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, designs, manufactures, and markets electrical, electronic, and fiber optic connectors in the United States, China, and internationally.

I know nothing about them really...just what 20 minutes of reading has got me.

I'm actually pretty risk averse. Don't make a lot of 10x's outside of a handful of options plays. But that's usually with $500 - $1k spent. CORZ was the big one last year. Was up nearly 7x. And I sold a good chunk in the $17's to get all my money back.

Rode MARA from $8's to $30's. That was nice.

Would have had like 5x all of last year on SLV calls, but I let too many ride without taking profits. Built myself a narrative instead of sticking to a defined plan. Don't trade on narrative. They will almost never play out as expected.

My options strategy usually lands me somewhere between 2x and 5x on winners, with the majority of losers getting nothing. I win more than I lose. There was a rough patch last fall, but I recovered at the end of the year.

My share positions are designed to catch the meat of the move and get out, so I rarely hit payload. I get stopped on A LOT. But small losses. Winners are anywhere from 1.2x to 1.6x on average.

I'm currently out of TSLA, but between shares, TSLL, and TSLZ, I'm probably close to 2.5x. And once it provides the re-entry the goal is to 5x the total capital spent since the 2024 bottom.

But my strategies shift year to year. With the new focus on ending diagonals, I'm hoping to hit a lot more frequency of winners on options.

The Fed minutes just came out that said rate cuts are on hold due to uncertainty about tariffs. That triggered algos sell programs. Day trade op is SMCI right now, imho.

Thanks PROG, normally don't rock those volatile day trades, but this one earned me some decent dinner.

Watching SNCY - Stock Markets - Page 6787 | TexAgs

Looking for it to hit $18.75 - $19.50 range. But since it's an ending diagonal, I'm probably going to grab a starter position today, as you never know what will cause the sudden top off and reversal, or when. With minimum target for the reversal being $15.10, the reward from having $17.50 puts would be $2.40. And since I don't play if I can't get a 2x, I need $1.20 MAX contract pricing. If I can get that today with April expiration then I will likely grab a quarter size position.

And for clarity, here's how I do sizing. You will see me use these terms for my plays. Want everyone to know what I'm talking about.

Full size: 2% of my account
Half size: 1% of account
Quarter size: 0.5% of account
Lotto size: 0.25% of account
Half-lotto (gamble): 0.1%
