Is this the day SPX finally breaks 4268 resistance?

I saw ASAN come up in the OA threads this week.

Does anyone have a feel for that stock? it's gone down like 40% since I bought in...

Sell it. Stop diamond handing bad stocks and blowing up your accounts. Set your stops and respect them.

I'd be very reluctant to buy puts on this market. JMO.

What would PXD shares be if bought out for $60B. I don't do math on Fridays. TIA

I calculated $259.12 based on the 231.51M share float and $60B. But I could be wrong.

Since PDX and XOM are 2 of my biggest 3 holdings, this is a win/win for me.

Managed 5 green days this week, so gonna go ahead and get the weekend started. 18 years in a row to make it here!

Any of you macro folks have an opinion on what a major conflict, or multiple conflicts, overseas would have on the markets in the short term?

The stuff going on in the ME today is obviously why I'm asking. I'm no strategist but I'm wondering whether we might see Russia and China push their respective fronts in Ukraine and Taiwan if the G7 are focused on Israel.

Markets aren't as predictable to geopolitical events as you probably think. In fact, markets generally don't care as much as the media and talking heads want you to think. Markets might use events like this as a catalyst, but for the most part, the direction will make sense when it makes sense, and when it doesn't make sense, the spin will be that the fact it doesn't make sense is why it made sense all along.

In summary, stay disciplined with the same approach you always use. If you feel your money is at risk and exposed to potential danger, then you likely felt that way before the geopolitical event and already know your answer. Don't wait for the world to burn to make the decisions you already felt you needed to make.

I'm going to give OA's trading service a full month and will report back here from time to time on my thoughts. I'm not starting yet, but will join up this week (when I get caught up at my real job).

I tried and didn't stay. I think it's more for day traders. I don't have the time with my job to listen all day. and I think a lot of the strategies he implemented and call outs are for $50-100k accounts. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't recommend it then. Same experience as bmoochie, unless you can watch his stream at opening and/or all day, there weren't many call outs for swing trades. Official alerts were few and far between and didn't fare that well in my opinion.

You guys know anything about rbt, rubicon technologies? Apparently pltr bought a significant interest in them and they've kinda floundered ever since. Think I'll take a speculative position, maybe leaps if they have them

I'm a small account and the knowledge alone was worth the 100$ monthly, but like others stated unless you have the time to sit and monitor the market with him, it's probably not worth it.

Taking a few months off while work is ramped up during holidays, but I'll try to rejoin for the new year. Interested to see how his new alerts and P&L reporting works out as well.

Correct, but my strategy may not match others. If anyone is pleased with their profit in a very short period, then book the win. Don't let greed evaporate a nice ROI, and booking a win is always a winning move, especially with the geopolitical events taking place around the world.

Sold for a 36% gain! Thanks again Prog. This one swings and I look forward to getting back in.
