Looking at MARA and its in a little Darvish box since Mid April. Buying around $9 and then selling or doing CCs around $10 could be an easy 10-12% increase. I have $8.61 area as support so lose that I think is when I would cut. Seems to be bouncing between the 50 and 200 EMAs in this box as well.

NVDA trading at 38x sales and 200x earnings. closest comparison i have seen is tesla at its peak, which subsequently dropped ~70%. been holding NVDA for years now, can any of you talk me out of taking profits on most/all of it at this point? really itching to cash in, not sure what i'm missing that would make it a bad idea.

Only 1.5 years left on that Short Term Risk chart. Seems irrelevant for them to just be publishing that now.

I would like to see copper moved up and to the right.

yes, insanity. I guess it depends on if this is a trade or a forever hold and cost basis? if a trade, absolutely take profits, or set a stop. Even if it's a forever hold, I'd be selling some serious CC's on it.

general rule of thumb, if you're wondering if it's time to take profit, it is.

If you want semiconductor exposure, you could sell and put the proceeds into SMH. You can get it on a pull back too.

Saudi Energy Minister... We'll balance the market 'whatever it takes'. I think that's a strong endorsement of U.S. energy producers..

Saudi is determined to drive out Crude Oil Futures manipulation. They'll get Brent to $90+ range in order to fund their economy and have some GDP "surplus" to grow their economy. They have some very ambitious economic developments already started. Saudi will not back off those projects.

I agree with the Saudis that the Biden people have manipulated the market and it's hypocritical to call out OPEC after the SPR fiasco.

However, the Saudis wanted lower prices a while back to run fracking companies out of business. In a way I'd say that effort has backfired bigly on them. People got used to cheap oil and Biden kept it cheap for the midterms.

Maybe if both sides left things alone we could see a better market price. That said, not opposed to OPEC pushing it higher at this point, if they can.

I'm not all-knowing but I've collared a few of my top returners, selling call and buying put. I did it to buy me some more time to see how my portfolio and overall market shakes out over the year. As I get closer to year end and need to make decisions for taxes or want to rebalance and/or deploy that capital for something else I can.

No credence given to the supply cut announcement for July. Patience. When the world starts talking about supply shortages (and shortages will happen) focus changes. JB & the Administration think they have control over this, they don't. Joe shot his wad with the SPR 2022. KSA is giving the finger to Joe now in 2023. GLTA

fair question, what's wrong with me (in this case) is i almost never sell anything. just buy and hold unless there is a very compelling reason to sell.

appreciate all the feedback, thanks guys.

I have been in NVDA since 2016 and it is the largest position in all of my combined accounts at the moment, but I am still long on them due to their complete dominance at the hardware level for the next cycle of compute advancements.

I've said it before on here, but at the moment, they have zero competition, and as you see GPU's replace CPUs or get integrated into the same chip like Grace Hopper, if you are a mega cap tech company at the cutting edge of this compute transition, at the moment, you have to buy from NVDA.

That being said, you can't run a monopoly forever before someone takes a slice of your pie, but I believe the current price is betting that in the next 6-12 months, they will maintain that monopoly.

June 13th AMD has an AI conference, watch that to see if NVDA's hardware monopoly will be tested in a shorter window.

I am not adding to my NVDA position at these prices, but I am not selling. But like my pops always told me, you can't go broke taking profits.

I can't imagine not peeling off 25% and re investing that somewhere else.

I have long term holdings of things like AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, and GOOGL doing exactly this.

True, but I believe all of NVDA's chips are made in Taiwan. I can see China EMPing Taiwan and taking it over before the next election because we have a feeble president and NATO partners (France) have said publicly that they wouldn't interfere, which means they won't back us.

Can't see them using an EMP. They would have to rebuild all the infrastructure after that.

Far more likely they'd release Covid-24 and let the world burn, picking up the pieces.

Jan 25 100s. this was not loading the boat or anything, more of a way OTM lotto. but looking back over the last few years it seems like a pullback to the 200-250 range would not seem totally unreasonable.

if that happens in the next year then I think I'd have a nice trade.

Yes, they play psychological warfare and have infiltrated from within for decades (and many countries). They will continue to grind away. and China knows that our current admin loves war, I doubt they touch Taiwan.
