It started for me in Feb when OA tweeted about it. He called the beatdown overblown and bought 2025 7c and 10c LEAPs.

They authorized a 1.5bil stock buyback - and now blackrock owns 11% of the company

Price targets, even on the low side, are above current price. They at one point paid out a pretty nice dividend that got cut for stock buybacks. Plus, what better time for them to be doing a stock buyback then now then the price is so low? What happens when the buyback ends? My thinking is they resume the dividend.

I'm an old school Century Link customer, and I don't see LUMN as a company going away. Maybe they get bought out? The chart is ugly for sure and I'd love to see it hold $2 - but with a stock buyback, potential resumption of the dividend (yes I know it could never happen as well), and a company that has been around for a long time under different names - it just seems like a pretty good opportunity to get into a company that will either still be around or get bought out by a bigger player. Fiber and IT infrastructure will continue to grow.

I'm potentially way off base on this one - they don't mine graphite or anything - but to me the risk/reward is there for a small position

Debt limit will be resolved. They're haggling over minor details at this point but the broader package is ready.
