Another green day! Trying to turn into Tony Gwynn with the base hits. Spending very little time in each trade.

Traded SPY both directions.

9 green in a row.

+2.83% image flagged, it's so random when it chooses to flag.


I'm overnighting a small SQQQ position.

10 in a row green.

This was a wild ride today.

Sold SQQQ overnight for profit.

Bought SPY puts when in the AM but ended up taking a loss when it rocketed at 9:30am.

Tried to flip to calls, but got shook out again.

Went to QQQ and got into calls... I honestly went a little too heavy and also got in a little too early, but I was convicted it was going to get a new HOD and it did and I scaled out.

Thankfully about 5 or 6 bars before this absolute stop loss raid.



I honestly feel a little dirty about how I traded today. I held too long. Every losing trade could have been a winner. I also somewhat revenge traded and it worked out, but man if it hadn't... I'd have been staring at a -10% type day. But green is green I reckon.


Edit to say I degen'ed... couldn't help but think there was at least one more flush left in QQQ so a small put

Yep... What's bad is that it turned out green and no matter how much I know it wasn't smart, my subconscious or my id or whatever the lizard part of my brain is...

is being positively reinforced on a bad habit.

It's a really interesting topic - and true that electricity is the energy source and batteries aren't exactly the same as oil.

But power differs from petroleum in that (absent batteries) everything must be consumed as it's produced.

You can't put electricity in tanks and fill up cars as they need it on the fly. You can't produce power now for use later - unless you have battery storage. It's why grid stability and generation capacity matched to loads is critical today. And it's why, as we electrify, we're gonna need continued progress in battery storage (and probably loads more generation).

I just hope WWR survives long enough to ride the wave of demand!!!

My bet is that SMRs displace wind & solar. At least large scale penetration of wind and solar. They will also displace a fair bit of natural gas and probably the remaining coal plants. I just am not a believer in battery technology. It's been 7 years since they were lauded as the energy game changer. And 7 years later they are nothing more than giant surge protectors.

that was first move off Bostic speaking real hawkish. I always fade first move. I waited a couple minutes, then entered calls.

I agree. Testing different standard deviations on bollinger bands gives the different colors. It is a busy chart.
