What was that stock a few months back that was going parabolic and the ceo kept buying it? You pointed out it was 3+ L.

I'm sitting on a pretty big chunk of cash now that I've taken a bunch of TQQQ profits. (And sold all my QQQ to fund it.)
What would y'all see as good re-entries for both of those?
(TQQQ for short to medium term, QQQ as a long term hold.)

Howdy Ags. I was asked to share this GoFundMe for a young lady who was shot and is currently hospitalized and struggling to recover. She is related to a very close friend of mine who is also an Ag who served several years in the Air Force. Prayers and donations would be very welcome:

The latter is easy. Now. Never sell it.
The former is harder. You have to judge on the price action.

The stock split doesn't guarantee positive price movement. If macros are going down and rates are going up, AMZN splitting their stock won't likely help much. I'm not saying not to buy it, just to make you realize this isn't a no-risk buy and forget it type of market for any stock.

Alright, maybe a better move is to buy Amazon shares for the stock split.

Can you tell me your level of trading and investing experience so I can help you the best?
I don't believe their split announcement was a play to sucker retail but more of a change of leadership and seeing how TSLA's split's made Musk the wealthiest person on the planet. They just got crushed just like everyone else in this bear market. They are also fund faves and will command their share of the cash accumulating on the sidelines. AMZN has a huge gap to fill up to 2800 and they could get there if inflation appears to have topped and with aunt Jenny and uncle Forrest buy it because it's affordable now.BaylorSpineGuy said:
People were asking GOOG and AMZN to split for forever and the calls went unanswered.
Then, as economy starts to contract, it's their first move. Seems like a ploy to sucker retail. May work out in long run but seems like a trap.
We need to take everything day by day but there is substantial airspace on the $QQQ which is a good sign.

For the Amazon split "shareholder at the close of business on May 27, 2022 will have 19 additional shares for every one share held as of such date reflected in their accounts on or about June 3, 2022"
You'll get additional shares like everyone else
So what happens if you buy on the 30th -June 2?
its likely accurate as there is usually a run up into the split. Your scenario is the reconciliation.Red Red Wine said:
I'm pretty sure I read that after a stock split most of these companies saw a 10% drop in price after the spit.
Not saying it will happen to GOOG and AMZN, but worth watching. Of course, my reading skills could be very poor also.
