I think we continue up. Tech seasonality and it's recent earnings strength. The market wanted a reason to fill the gap and CPI provided it.
I faded the open move (that being the gap fill even though it was before open) and picked up SPY 2/11 $456C. Right now it was a good move.

Got it. Read last night and meant to reply. Fell asleep on the couch and remembered this morn. If Hedge bought yesterday, he's good. He made the Ex-Eff Date and will get paid. I bought 3 of these spreads originally.
I sold 1 spread outright.
I then bought back my two short calls, this leaves me with 2 of the long APR 155c's.
I then rolled those up to take in some cash, I sold the APR 155c's and bought 165C's.
I also then sold APR 175c's against those 165c's, creating vertical spreads.
This leaves me a bullish position with little-to-no risk, but if Disney continues and somehow goes bonkers by April, I can take in a max of $1000 each on those two spreads.
My total risk now is $400, so I guess in reality these are net free spreads.

If we go green we will have reclaimed the 200DMA on the QQQ with very little in terms of catalyst in the next few weeks to give it up. It's a little early in the day to be seeing this but when SPY has these quick consolidations after a few sizeable rising candles, lately it will trend up the rest of the day. Not saying that is definitely going to happen, just something you can see on the chart for the past week.
