I like DocuSign. I think it offers an awesome product that lots of business around the world use, and it's not going anywhere. However, I think Covid had it way overvalued. So we'll see where it ends up, but I'm putting a little skin in the now just in case it turns back north.
Looks like that POS $ASAN finally did what we all expected. Down 15% AHs on bad earnings and down 50% from October highs. Wish I hadn't given up on shorting it.

I am not a cpa, but I think it depends on which acct your are talking the loss. If you are taking the loss in a taxable account, and therefore using it to offset other gains, or use up to 3k per year, then that is the problem. If you are taking the loss in the retirement account, then there are no tax implications.

IRAs are a clear no-no. It's not only just a wash sale, but it actually kills the loss forever, as opposed to merely deferring the loss to the next transaction like normal wash sales. I fell victim to this last year… although if I had been ignorant of the rule, I wouldn't have ever known because brokerages don't report it… makes me wonder if I should've just played dumb and hoped I never got audited.
But 401ks aren't explicitly mentioned in the rules, so they seem to be a loophole at the moment.
Also, I'm not a CPA, and generally a dumb*** so take all this with a grain of salt.

My goodness that post was timely. A couple of -20% days and one 3% red day to follow it up. Broke all the rules, but the main one is accepting a trade moving against me. My account is small, so I have a finite amount of trade opportunities per day. The last few days I've been faked out a few times and held thinking it would come back. I scan for my own plays.
Draw my entries and targets (key levels) myself.
Execute the trade myself.
No more follow trading from twitter, discord, etc.
Now... just to maintain this for a year or more and I'll be set. Haha

The last few days make me think I need to spend less time in trades whether they win or lose. Take small wins but even smaller losses.
I read somewhere that the Chinese government is forcing them too. Who knows if that is true.
