I think that's a good target I'm in a 8/6 Put Spread just playing theta. I sold 2675/2665 for $1.2 so at this far out I'm just happy to let it tread water. Looking to buy it out at $.2 today or tomorrow. Looking like tomorrow.

I don't think the AMD move is over. C&H breakout measured move is about 128-130. Trend line going back 4+ years has room to about 150. And the recent NVDA move is very similar and it went 7 weeks in a row earlier this summer in a 50%+ move. And most importantly, the bullish calls flow just keep getting pounded.

Sell a 410 put @13.10
Buy a 400 put @9.70

Net Credit = $340
Max Loss = $660

Seems like selling an ITM put will yield a better risk/reward:

Sell a 440 put @30.50
Buy a 410 put @13.70

Net Credit = $1680
Max Loss = $1320

How do you normally play these?

Ended up with the 420/410 put credit spread for a 4.50 credit.

Max Gain: $450
Max Loss: $550

another classic rug pull. So anyone have a rule of thumb they use on earnings in these cases?

Buddy will usually pick up monthly calls on the earnings beat down (if it beats) and just wait a week for the pop. Ive also heard these can cycle for three days and then rise again.

I have to concur with 59. Redler is a pro, but the volume on AMD is incredible and they don't even care, big buys even near the high today. 120 will be/ is soft resistance, nice round number (it will punch through that tomorrow. I'd never short a stock this strong! Maybe that guy will have better luck!

Stocks don't trade based on earnings.

Earnings are merely 1 piece of news that send a stock in the direction sentiment already wanted it to go.

Took home some weekly NVDA 205/207.5c spreads tonight for $.70. There was crazy activity on the 205's today in the form of 4 digit contract buys and from that point on they simply up and downed it in an upward trend the entire time.

Was this more conservative?

Max gain: $300
Max loss: $1200

I think it bounces a bit tomorrow so you'll likely end up winning, but that risk/reward is aggressive. I was looking for a 1:1 risk/reward and was too confident it would go up. Mistakes were made.

I want to become a chart junkie. Is traderview a good place for a beginner to start?

Yes its excellent and user friendly for charting. My go to for quick easy charting. You may have to pay for the upgrades to get as many indicators as you want but it is worth it.

Check out Trend Spider as well. I have thought about giving it a try as I hear its also really good.
