How often do you guys put a stop loss or something similar on individual stocks bought to day/swing trade? Long term holds?

So you lost money as #newbie, now studied hard, got a strategy but scared to get back?
✅Take 50 trades with 1 contract or 100 shares.
✅Prove to yourself that you can win 30 trades atleast out of 50,then scale.
✅Find conviction/consistency first,$$ comes later!
If it lasts more than 4 hours seek medical help immediately.FJ43 said:

Used, off lease dual Xeon Workstations are always computing "Bang for your Buck" contenders.
Used it for years and found it a powerful tool as a CRM and pipeline management tool. Like anything 'everything' is extra it seems though.mpl35 said:
No clue how it will work out but sales force is pretty respected in the industry and I actually found it user friendly
Yeah, Salesforce is nice but have to tried ASAN?FJ43 said:Used it for years and found it a powerful tool as a CRM and pipeline management tool. Like anything 'everything' is extra it seems though.mpl35 said:

I don't secretly want limit down. I want a pullback so this is sustainable to feel comfortable keeping going long on much.$30,000 Millionaire said:they're flat. I secretly want limit down.CrazyRichAggie said:

I did and like it as well. Not sure I used all that ASAN has in terms of power though.Double_Bagger said:Yeah, Salesforce is nice but have to tried ASAN?FJ43 said:Used it for years and found it a powerful tool as a CRM and pipeline management tool. So there is a particular book linked in the first post on this thread that for all intents and purposes looks to be out of print. Are there any copyright lawyers on this thread that can give insight into the laws around what can and cannot be done regarding books that are out of print?
Specifically, would it be okay to copy said book and make a digital version available to others?
I'm in possession of a copy of said book, and I actually had a similar thought so I reached out to the publisher to see if we could get permission to copy all or part of it for this board for educational purposes, but the original publisher has changed hands a couple times so nobody I talked to could point me in the right direction. If anyone has any contacts or can put me in touch with the right person, I'm happy to do the legwork, but it's not my area of expertise unfortunately.
I also wish we could convince them to re-publish it, even just a kindle edition, which I wouldn't think would take a huge amount of work on their part. No telling how many copies they could sell just from people on this thread.

Worth the monthly trial at the very least IMO. I like Dan and think he's a good trader. You may find that his system is exactly a process that you want to utilize and fit your trading style.Tomas Hermensa said:
Are any of you still using Shapiro's PS60? I knew several of you were but didn't know how those turned out or if you were still actively using it. I'm strongly thinking of using a monthly trial in July or August.

For now I just want a pullback to under $50
It's hard to apply technicals to a thinly traded cheap stock, that being said, it looks extended. It's JMO, don't take that as a rec, it's just an observation because I know exactly dick about this company and won't delve into it tonight because I'm tired.sts7049 said:
this is an OTC stock, but not a penny so i thought i'd throw it out here.
anyone in BABYF? or know anything about this company? my grandfather seems to have become enamored with them recently. it does seem to be on a bit of an uptrend recently so i wonder if there might be a play here.
Not Irish, but agree with FJ. I like Dan and his personality works for me. I don't use him regularly, since my regular work keeps me from daytrading most of the time. But when I have the time to commit, I have done well following his approach.FJ43 said:Worth the monthly trial at the very least IMO. I like Dan and think he's a good trader. I think Irish uses his system. Maybe he can chime in.

Your morning snapshot....
Let's see how the morning action goes. My hope is we back test and consolidate a bit before going more moon shot. I just want to be on the right side of the trade when the music stops someday.
SPY 430 test would be nice.
Qs back testing 354ish for me.
Looking back at history on SPX on weekly/monthly charts we've had quite a parabolic move the past 6 months or so. Bull markets are my favorite....but....
Trade wisely!
