When in doubt, look for what the government is incentivizing. Why spend the effort to get a job when the government is going to pay you 10 different ways and net you more? All while you can stay at home and play video games on your 50 inch tv.

I'm disappointed that when we first saw the large decline in covid numbers back in early Feb I didn't rotate out of most of my tech and back into recovery/value. Freaking rookie mistake and I'm paying for it bigly. I've given back all of the profits I took for 2021 so far and more.

I rolled out of some tech yesterday and bought some big portions of WWR today under $4.90. The good news is my cash position percentage is growing, but the bad news is that's only because the value of shares and options is deteriorating.

I bought OXY the Friday before the OPEC announcement last year. The following Monday I was down 70% and compounded due to COVID. A bought more below $12, sold some single digit puts and now up.

I know lots of people are underwater now. I held OXY for so long because I knew eventually we're coming out of this and oil prices would rise with demand growing and the industry cutting back on investments. OXY in a WoodMac study I saw was most levered to oil prices rising.

So if you're underwater but believe in the company and fundamentals, buy low and wait. Sell puts.

$CLOV

On the other hand I bought $CLOV blindly and down 40% I still have no idea what they do. I'll hold but another expensive lesson to not blindly follow the herd.

I see mentions of people wanting to do this for a living. You have to have an alpha based strategy if you ever want to do this for life. If you only rely on beta as a strategy, its always feast or famine, and if you play long enough, you'll incur heavy losses.
