I am buying today in my 401K and reloading shares sold on the last run up. No options on this account. The way the qqq and spy keep closing below the daily 5 ema has me gradually adding. The daily momentum continues downward.

I pulled my $5.60 GTC buys on WR when I saw it falling. I plan to load up here on it when it stops.

DPW I added again down here. Could be wrong but think this is a gift with patience.

Do any of y'all enter trailing stop loss/limit orders on options you bought? If so, is there a rule of thumb as to where to set the trailing gap? I'm limited to dollar amount gaps

This has to be a pretty clear goalpost on DPW. It's clear that no one has sold the shares bought on November 23rd. Does anyone have some thoughts?

Took a long position in VFC

TSN is attempting a breakout of an 8pt Darvas Box. I'll look to go long on a strong close -- would really like to see it close over 70.60. If it stays here, I'll look to enter tomorrow.

Trades only, 4/16 (edit) ATM calls on both. Although, I own VFC long-term.

In trading parlance, a /generally means a spread - more so on symbols or contracts. Probably in this case a buy/sell those strikes.

Depends on the option. For a thinly traded issue, no. Your stop may get run on a spike, also with a trailing stop limit it may never execute on an outright fall.

For highly liquid options like SPY this is less likely to happen.

I prefer to have alerts set and make a decision if triggered.

I never use stop loss on options as they can swing too much and get stopped out then back up 2 minutes later.

I do set sell orders though and walk away if I can't baby sit them.

Market isn't holding up well at all right now. S&P500 close to testing the 50 DMA after getting rejected by the 9 DMA today. at this point we've basically surrendered all of Monday's rally. Our peak this year was 5.17% up on 2/16. Now we're up less than 2% YTD. Feels like the bulls are running out of steam for the short term at least. Only saving grace I see right now is that volume is down.
