You could. If the 2200 expires Friday you might not sell the 2300 just to keep it nice and liquid. My guess is 2200 stays otm so some time soon you may end up wanting to cut bait and fast. Easier to sell the call by itself than as a spread.

If those of you playing the put-call SPY straddle could continue updating that would be great. Especially after you sell to explain what your target was versus what you did. I am not in this, but I need to learn the thought process here. I've done this a few times and things have consistently not gone as planned. Could be small sample or it could be I was doing it wrong.

I can't tell the exact amount, but there was a multi million share buy at 7:00 am central on the dot. OA sighting? It spiked the price 70 plus cents (then it was pulled back in before the open).

I got $0.79 on the calls and $0.97 on the Puts so we're close. If you have early trading at 3 am central then be ready if a major move on futures has occurred.

Another bwb win! Had a 3395/3400/3410c spx for wed, had gotten $1.4 for it. Just bought the 3410/3405 spread for $1 to make it $.40 credit fly with no risk.

That's the reason the broken wing butterfly has such a high probability of profit, many things work in its favor.

I got a .90 fill on the SPY put, but missed entry on the call (but I'm okay with that at these levels). I would love to see a red Tuesday and then rip to all time highs, 3600 by election?

If OA doesn't tell us what to target, the first thing I try to do is score a double on one leg at open or near it, then hope we model t and I can salvage some value out of the other leg. If we open relatively flat I try and grab 20% on each leg over the course of the day, then roll it all into another 1dte spread at 2:20 after theta's eaten them up over the course of the day.
That said, I really don't know what I'm doing...most of my success with these is catching a big move at close or open.

I'm still very much learning but there is chatter (yes message board and twitter chatter probably from people with an interest in taking the stock down) but I still am curious . That chatter is about a dilution of shares potentially on its way. Do you think there's a chance this possibility is already factored into the current price?
