Earlier this week I bought AMD calls that I took the risk off and converted to zero risk 65C's that were way OTM. I sold them yesterday thinking I'd like to at least take home some of that free cash.

Sometimes in life we are just unlucky. Those freebie 65c's would be trading around $4.00 each now.

This seems to be the story of my trading life. Binary events are a beech.

$2.25 was the next target sell price.

I've seen you discuss TQQQ charts a couple times now, so I'll chime in with some thoughts.

I'll freely admit I could be off-base here, and if so, I hope more knowledgeable folks will chime in and correct me, but when I trade leveraged ETFs, I don't look at their charts, I look at the chart of their underlying benchmark index.

I do this for two reasons:

1) I see zero benefit to looking at the leveraged chart (TQQQ) vs. benchmark (QQQ) because the tail doesn't wag the dog. Theoretically it's possible in intraday trading for the leveraged to behave differently, but even if that were to occur, it will rebalance to the benchmark overnight.

2) There could be some detriment to looking at TQQQ vs QQQ. Some indicators will be nearly identical, but for many indicators/events, the decay of TQQQ really messes things up.

A simple clear example is all time high events, which have a psychological impact on the market. QQQ broke ATH much sooner than TQQQ. But beyond mere market sentiment, this shows how things can be different between the two... QQQ could be in a sideways channel and TQQQ will drift downward due to decay. QQQ could have a double-bottom and it would look like TQQQ crashed below that support.

Or consider something that's popular here, OA's Model T, and compare SPY/QQQ hitting almost perfectly around Mar 3 / Mar 4 and bouncing back, whereas UPRO/TQQQ weren't there yet.

These differences are typically minor, but again, I see no benefits and only potential negatives from using TQQQ over QQQ for charting.

Does Biden's VP pick really matter? They're all going to toe the current Democrat views (not making a comment either way here). I guess that VP has a better-than-average chance of actually becoming president due to Biden's age.
