edit: closed it out. i feel like they will piggyback tesla earnings and they are breaking ground on facility this week. Nice 20% profit though. Take that all day.

I think the simplest explanation is that in the past 5 months, good is bad, and bad is good. I haven't quite understood it either. Chipotle just printed money and stock dropped too.

Yea I don't get it. I've been adding shares of MSFT over the last few months and held through. Earnings beat and dropped over 6 bucks... maybe it will stabilize over night but I'm really not getting it at this point.

People expected good earnings so the price has gone up, other people are selling because they have a basis of $10 and want to preserve their gains

I suspect the big move prior to today was anticipation of TSLA being added and that will prevent anyone from selling it.

The best way to profit from a move like that is to anticipate a company that will be added in the future and accumulate on pullbacks. IMO, ROKU is a definite candidate unless GOOG buys them beforehand. Another possible is CVNA.

Think about this. There are 1000's upon 1000's of call contracts of TSLA sold this week at 2500+ all the way to 3500 for expiry this Friday. THIS FRIDAY. What an amazingly easy way to make money. Sell hope to people who only desire to have it for a short time.

also saw this. I was surprised at the EPS, but this is LOL. I'm not saying Tesla shouldn't be viewed as an innovator or growth stock, but it is over valued.
