If they weren't planning to make their own chips. Apple would have already switched all of their computers to ryzen already. Ryzen does everything better than intel cpus besides gaming, which is perfect for Apple

Lvs vs Wynn

I owned lvs and a month ago sold out 1/2 to lock in losses for tax harvesting. I then bot Wynn. Both stocks were close to close to 45.

Now I can sell out of Wynn and buy back lvs and book my Wynn profits and get back to my original lvs position.

Should I do this or keep Wynn instead? And will Wynn continue to outperform lvs?

So you booked loss.
If you sell Wynn you have gains that offset your loss.
You're back to your net original position no better no worse with no loss to deduct or gain taxed?

If you want to be long in a casino I say choose which one you like better. If that's LVS then you're at your starting spot no better no worse. If that's WYNN then hold it and don't realize the gain.

Make sure you're out of the wash sale window if tax savings was the original goal.

I'm an idiot for not bringing this up as a short earlier. OZK is primarily commercial re loans, just missed earnings by a wide margin, the tide coming out is going to bring up more underperforming loans.

So basically it's all about no guidance. Why don't these companies just throw any type of guidance out there just to appease the market? Seems nothing matters anyways, the market just wants something

Because you have ****ty ambulance chasing law firms that make their living off class action suits against corporations. They make all the money while the plaintiffs make pennies. Most companies have been saying they will no longer give guidance for the foreseeable future.

It's better for a company not to say anything and surprise than miss on their guidance because the blood sucking lawyers get in their asses.

Not as familiar with a lot of others. I know ozk is highly exposed to nyc and Florida re as well as rv's. Their underwriting is supposed to be solid but they had one underperforming loan come up like a year ago and the stock cratered by about 50%. I think the earnings Miss is due to them starting to build up their charge off provisions. So, hasn't happened yet but they are planning for it.

Key to Intel moving forward is continuing to spend capex on 7NM development.

AMD is already kicking their ass in that space, and is working on 5NM although that is a good bit away. If Intel can't push out 7NM this year, then they have some serious market share issues as we move forward.

This doesn't include the supposed risk with Apple manufacturing their own chips going forward.....
