Truly sorry about your loss. These things suck. I bought a handful of stocks while deployed to Iraq in 2005 based on recommendations from Money magazine. I was a super passive investor in those days and I just bought and forgot about em. One of those stocks was Lehman Brothers.

The question you need to ask yourself is: can I put that money into something that has a greater chance of recovering/growing in the future? If the answer is yes - and I think it is, though I'll freely admit I know nothing about HA - then as painful as it is to take the loss, take the loss and put your money in a more productive place.

I heard interviews today that both sides want that included so I bet it will be. Im curious to know how long that option would be available...I might be one that takes advantage of it

Says it may restrict individuals to a loan in some cases. Hopefully it's restricted for 98% of all cases if they add it!

Wakey wakey for 3am selling. If calls on something like SPY I will look to short and lock in gains. If the Bill passes we'll likely shoot higher but Usually anything you sell right at the 3am start of overnight trading will be available to buy back as futures fluctuate. If shorting against a call you can cover if it drops down and then let your call ride again.
