The mortality rate of this version isn't the scariest part...it's how contagious it is.

Let's hope that COVID 2.0 doesn't figure out how to be more deadly...or (alternatively) that immunity from exposure to 1.0 (or vaccines) will soften the blow...

It's been years since I've studied virology, but it seems to me a highly contagious virus has a lot of chances to adapt...and not to our advantage.

Here's hoping your buddy is right. Frankly even with the pessimism brought about by the events of today and yesterday I still don't think the data are good enough to forecast this issue with any surety.

But at least as of today my grandparents are asking us to not visit for some unknown duration. So yeah, people are apparently spooked.

What's a good candidate to sell short first thing tomorrow and then buy back before close? Anybody got any ideas? Airlines? Disney if they close their parks?

We have major supports at the beginning stages of throwing in the towel.

ADBE $300 is significant. Very easy to see the big names flash well below in the coming day(s). Some LEAP options opportunities will be presented.

SPCE is down to $15 and I could see it flash to close to $10. That would be a $20 LEAP example out to 2022 at that point.

Yes things are going to be nasty but the world isn't ending.

ZM LOGM WORK should be watchlisted for volume spikes as video conferencing is going to soar.

This is just one situation... but I wanted to share it.

My wife works with kids with autism in clinics. This is a growing company that's been doing great the last few years and has, mostly, treated her very well.

Last week, the company announced a freeze on all hiring and started letting go staff to all those under certain criteria of billable hours. According to my wife, I think roughly 3 of 15 in her office have been let go.

A place like this make zero money if kids don't show up. It's a public gathering. Technology and the job allow home therapy, but a person must be present. That would be tricky as the company would pivot with no warning and who knows about the panic of having someone in your home at a time like this. I know of other in home companies that are dropping staff and clients as parents are starting to cancel/refuse service.

What has ensued is drama/BS that has nothing to do with the matter at hand. I had to explain to her and a coworker last night why drastic measures were taking place. These are the people that don't pay attention to the news. They understand now.

Best guess from my experience is that there is part of the population starting to realize the matter at hand. Americans who ignored what's been happening finally took notice in the last day or two.

Neighbor is a corporate Delta employee. Yesterday they had more cancellations than bookings for the first time since 9/11. They are scrambling to get everyone home from Europe over the next 48 hours.

Friend works at Turner/TBS and he said one case of a player with Corona and March Madness will be over. It makes them a ton of money so he is worried.

We are limit down again AH.

Only 2 times we have shed -10% to -15% in a 3 day period, both in 08 - Both bounced. But I'm still not seeing signs of bottoming yet.

Also the velocity of this is absurd. We are stretched so far below MAs, mean reverting algos have probably blown up or at least no longer on, so BTFD is in major trouble until we show some signs of bottoming.

Hadn't looked at micron one a month since selling. It's almost back to where I bought it last year.
