Reversed my /es on Friday (for a handsome profit) and am now long the futures. Planning for a bounce but am a little anxious. Stops are set so I will sleep tonight.
Day after move like Friday close is more likely down from open but I have very limited data on moves like that. True analogy count is about 3 in the last decade.
Agree but was short after last Monday so was a big payoff. I will be out if it goes lower. Up big for the year so no problem.

The casinos were closed for a while. They've been re-opened but there's still a lot of travel restrictions in China so no one can go.
I have no idea what any of this means. The deaths could drive.the market down but the rate cut could send it up a little. I'm pretty clueless about how this may go down.
Some geopolitical risk now creeping onto the scene.. Turkey shot down a couple of Syrian fighter jets. NATO is backing Turkey.

The companies that need some attention in my opinion are the lab testing companies. Like LH and DGX.

OA.. sorry if you've been asked this before but why not trade (/ES for example) futures + options on futures instead of Equities + options (SPY)?
Double top 2983 on ES Futures. Watch that for resistance if not broken tonight. If it is then look for +50

I'd get your money back and then risk the rest to see if they go into the money. You'll know by 11am if trend suggest a better than average shot at that by then.

I know the general principle is to buy when everyone is selling, but anybody else think, even with a green day tomorrow potentially, it's worth taking positions still given how low prices still are?

And there's why if you're going to be a professional trader you have to commit to the hours. I sold all the SPY shares I wanted at the opening of trading and now bought back $4 lower against our hedges, with SPY back to near flat.

Not so fast my friend, futures down 1% now. Market could close +/-8% today.
Massive volume cluster under $291 SPY jumped on and sold for quick $2 gain. Sheesh making it easy so far this morning

SPY low Ftiday $285.54. Hovering at $292 area now so a sink down retest would be good to watch for reversal. The late move upward makes this current futures kinda tame.
