That's just RH's slow ass system on options
Yep, I like it's chances in this market even. Bitcoin almost to 12k, china/ U.S. could be helping fuel that higher. Earnings I don't think will matter much.Prognightmare said:

I'm long in OSTK and cannabis (CURLF), the wife cashed out a fund sitting in her 401k. I think we'll sit on it until the market really corrects!
INO @2.90 - not too worried about this one.Prognightmare said:Which stocks?mrad85 said:Thankfully I guess, I'm out 11/15 or later at the moment. Do you think that's enough time to recover?IrishTxAggie said:
Today is gonna hurt on the options account...
ETA: and strike prices?
I'm about to go long RIG, the stock, since it's priced like an option.Aggie_2463 said:
Wow, it's a bloodbath on my watch list
NIO - $3.02
RIG - $4.80
CX - $3.08
COOP - $8.76 <- Planning to add some more here if it drops

my gold stocks are doing great.IrishTxAggie said:
OSTK and penny stocks are the only green I see
RIG reported earnings last week, they are getting rid of some debt and making people pay that are in arrears. Cash flow is improving. Oil hasn't taken the severe hit with today's China news. RIG and other O&G stocks are at a good entry for longterm holds. JMOAggie_2463 said:Well, I did just buy 500 more shares at $4.81.... Selling naked puts on ROKU looks like free money.
I've never done naked puts, but interested in this play.Prognightmare said:
$8 a contract for the $98 strike that expires on Friday. They also have earnings on Thursday that I'm not worried about. I don't have the free cash either but that looks like a free $800 per contract.
Yes. If you get called out, the contract will be enforced automatically and you will buy the shares. The biggest 'issue' with naked puts is that it ties up the capital required for the execution until the contract is executed, you buy it back, or it expires.Wiggletrace said:I've never done naked puts, but interested in this play.Prognightmare said:

What are the mechanics if they miss (or for whatever reason) they move below $98?
I am just forced to buy those shares (which I don't mind)?
Does this happen automatically?
Yes, you'd automatically buy the shares on Friday afternoon if it closes below $98 and your cost basis would be $98 - however much you sold the put for...so down around $90 in this caseWiggletrace said:I've never done naked puts, but interested in this play.Prognightmare said:

There's a tiny gap down to 2852.1 that may offer some support

COOP showing some strength today
Any good options plays with MSFT? Would like to go long the stock, but maybe stepping in with options makes more sense given this volatility?IrishTxAggie said:

I have no idea. I just got the alert because I'm still sitting on a pile of 8/16 $143...BT1395 said:Any good options plays with MSFT? Would like to go long the stock, but maybe stepping in with options makes more sense given this volatility?IrishTxAggie said:
