Full disclosure, I'm not in the semi conductor industry, but I keep up a lot with it since I'm a computer enthusiast. I was kicking myself for not buying puts on Intel at the beginning of the month when their three month roadmap leaked and revealed the lack of a 7nm process until 2022 - AMD is releasing theirs in July. Sure enough Intel fell about 8% in a few days.
Intel has really squandered the tech lead over other semiconductors over there last few years. AMD is about to take the process lead for the first time in history, and the performance lead for the second time.
