I went with Nov 18 calls at 92.5...not sure it will get there but if this is a reversal I feel good to at least get a decent profit
It should get there. They don't make memory chips like MU. It just turned positive on the day with heavy volume today.
AMGN hit new trend high on volume then decreasing volume last 2 days with todays volume really low yet we bounced right off the trend line. I will be surprised if it doesn't move upward tomorrow.

So we hit a higher high and higher low on S&P today. Follow through tomorrow and we'll see some rare Thursday moves on stocks.
Nasdaq trying to go positive even with MU and LRCX negativity today.

True, but watch how many "upgrades" come out as stocks make highs then fall and how many "downgrades" come out as the stock makes lows and the stock goes higher a week or so later. Trading desks are a prime profit center for brokerage houses.leoj said:

Look at this graph of LRCX. If you go back to May when the stock hit 210 it had a slew of upgrades and positive comments. Now look at yesterday and today, LRCX received downgrades and negative comments. If I'm ever in a trading position that gets upgrades at it's highs, the hair stands up on my neck and I sell all or part of my trades. Likewise, if I had cash available, I'd of buyed leaps on LRCX for next summer. I bet you'd make a killing. JMO

Today was insane. Sometimes it pays to be lucky rather than good. A twitter handle I follow alerted the coil in BA, so checked the chart and bought some weekly $350 calls at $1.37...about 5 minutes before the markets turned and solid production forecast news came out. Closed out half at 50% at $4 and 25% at $5. Let's see how the rest of the week plays out.

I'll grab some Oct options and see if it has legs.
You could do worse than trading contrarian to upgrade and downgrade calls from some services. When those downgrades hit only after the stock has plummeted and are at major support it should be criminal. They are trying to break it through.
