All those financials paid off from yesterdays basing.
Extending trendline would be $32.40 area. Another perfect touch and move until that trendline breaks on volume its pureoldarmy1 said:
JD trend line intraday a day traders dream. That pull back to $32.25 area perfection.
i sold naked put on DBX down to 26. Reduce my $30 cost basis and if it sells off then I am averaged down.oldarmy1 said:
About dang time DBX. About fell asleep on you!
I don't know your position with JD, and maybe oldarmy1 can correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it more advantageous to just sell the put instead of exercising the option now? The put will have extrinsic value that should help you lower your cost more than the difference in strike and market. As I look, JD is at $31.67. So by exercising you are lowering your basis by $.83. However, there may $.10 worth of extrinsic value in the option due to time. So if that's the case you would lower your basis by $.93 instead of $.83 and still hold your original shares. If you think the stock is still going to go down so you will buy it later when it is lower after exercising the option, the option would be worth more later as well, so it still benefits to not exercise it now.gougler08 said:
Bottom opened up on JD, will be exercising my put soon
Answer my own question, and I follow the logic and agree thats good advicekhkman22 said:I don't know your position with JD, and maybe oldarmy1 can correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it more advantageous to just sell the put instead of exercising the option now? Think I may join you in that ROKU put...that looks prime to at least fill some of that gap backRagoo said:
Took more ROKU off the table at 55. Bought puts out 30+ days at 50 strike against the rest to hedge.

Just saw that. The SOX will be a bloodbath tomorrow morning. Sorry manpfo said:
And Nvidia announces earnings and is down 6% in the aftermarket! You're right again Prog, the market hates ALL semiconductors.
I agree DBX will be bought out by next summer. I also suspect ROKU to be acquired by that time too.Bonfire1996 said:IrishTxAggie said:I know it is a hypothetical, but do you think that would clear the SEC?Bonfire1996 said:

Easily. Plenty of share to go around
AMZN, AAPL, DIS, GOOG, and T they need revenue to offset cord cutters. ROKU has the best streaming technology and are now building a subscriber base. Any of those companies could by them out in an instant. Let's just say, I wouldn't be short ROKU going into any weekend. Hell, I wouldn't be short ROKU overnight.leoj said:
Who would go after roku?
i sold them back to the market. I may buy the $55 put. We shall see. I may sell the $70 call and buy the $55 put. This will reduce the put purchase price.gougler08 said:Think I may join you in that ROKU put...that looks prime to at least fill some of that gap backRagoo said:

you can use roku to access your Prime content, you can use ROKU to access your PSVue content. They compete with Apple TV and chrome cast to an extent although chrome cast is nowhere near what ROKU is, completely different tech and functionality.IrishTxAggie said:
AMZN and AAPL have direct competition to ROKU. GOOG does too to an extent with their Chromecast. SONY has the PSVue too. I do think ROKU may get acquired but I think those are four I mentioned are off the list. Maybe Verizon or AT&T like you said.
