Watching AMZN 1850c out to 1/17 closely. About $12 here.

High stakes. When it finally breaks this Darvis box it's been in since August, it's going to be 2000 or 1600 quick. Past moves have been about $200 quick.

I'm in a similar situation, only been at this a little over a year and started on RH. Seems easy to open a new account with someone, but in terms of moving, it seems I would have to close my positions with RH and open new ones on the new platform.

If that is right, it seems like it'd be better to open a new account and essentially start over while closing out positions in RH when they hit the targets I want, right?

Nope, request an account transfer from TDA. Your positions will transfer over in kind. Several years ago when I was in the industry this took 3-4 business but I don't know about how quick it is now. You couldn't trade your positions while in transfer, so I recommend closing out any options positions that your trading.

I did this recently. I closed out my positions and transferred the stock / cash. And yeah, it took the better part of a week.

You just can't have open option positions that expire within a week or so, otherwise they can't do the transfer and will try again the next week.

You have to transfer to find out what's in it.

First rule of TDA, don't talk about T or S

Kidding aside, both link to your account and easy to use. You'll find what you like better. I toggle between the two depending on what I'm researching or trying to do.

Tos is just going to have a ton of functionality for charts, alerts, adding studies etc.

The app is great though, really easy to use, great interface and pretty fast as well.
