This volatility is great. Every time we reach ATH levels, stall, volatility spike. This is the new regime, almost 2 years into it now. Expect it to last through the next election, at least.

Carrie Lam (HK) invoked emergency powers in Hong Kong. I would advise everyone to be very careful going into the weekend. This essentially grants her powers similar to Xi's. She has banned face masks and it allows her the power to cut off the internet and control media. I would not be surprised if the tanks roll in from Shenzhen this weekend.

Looks like consolidation ending off the move from bottom so yes

My stats say to fade this, especially if we pop another 10-15 points.

A gap fill would be in that 10-15 points so resistance should kick in...all depends on how much short squeeze they want to inflict. We also now have a downward gap at 2911 to fill at some point. Maybe we find a resistance top and then chatter back and forth like has been the pattern for sometime now.

Bears set up short term $29 on JD as resistance stand. $32 is major resistance if we break $29.

Same strategy as when at $32 a week ago. I sell the $28 or $28.50 calls against the shares as it presses $29 and I already bought the equivalent number of $29 calls on the cheap preparing for this...so if $29 breaks and closes on the run I know my shares will be called out and then I decide if I want to call out the $29's or not based on just how much run it gets today - if it breaks out.

I went with selling the $28 calls just because the numbskull Dems are likely to throw some insanity out today.
