Entered SOXS at the cross and set a 3% trail. Gotta love "can't lose" positions when they set up nicely!

In the endurance world NIKE shoes are a tier below.

Hoka

Are probably the top 3 brands.

It's been a couple of years since I've done a marathon, but I think I'd still put Nike above On and Asics. Hoka's are pretty popular with more casual runners. Seems like the elites still are mostly Nike Alphafly's.

It's my fault. I left NKE a little over 5 years ago.

When I was a distance runner, Brooks was the only shoe that lasted more than a couple hundred miles on my feet. Tried all brands and Nike was like running in a set Chuck Taylor's. Nike always required Spenco inserts or I'd feel the leg and back fatigue set in way early into the run.

Not a lot of momo for the morning. Market looks negative in the AM. Semis don't have much in the coming days. Did increase MRVL today.

Man, I know it's illegal, but insider info sure would be nice.

MRNA - geez.

Also, most financial articles are garbage. From August 16th:

Quote:

Why Do We Think Moderna Will Underperform?
We're glad investors have benefited from the price increase, but we don't have much confidence in Moderna. Here are three reasons why MRNA doesn't excite us, plus one stock we'd rather own.

1. Revenue Spiraling Downwards
Examining a company's long-term performance can provide clues about its quality. Any business can put up a good quarter or two, but the best consistently grow over the long haul. Moderna's demand was weak over the last five years as its sales fell at a 20.5% annual rate. This was below our standards and signals it's a low quality business.

2. EPS Trending Down
Analyzing the long-term change in earnings per share (EPS) shows whether a company's incremental sales were profitable for example, revenue could be inflated through excessive spending on advertising and promotions.
Sadly for Moderna, its EPS declined by 24.5% annually over the last five years, more than its revenue. This tells us the company struggled because its fixed cost base made it difficult to adjust to shrinking demand.

3. Free Cash Flow Margin Dropping
If you've followed StockStory for a while, you know we emphasize free cash flow. Why, you ask? We believe that in the end, cash is king, and you can't use accounting profits to pay the bills.
As you can see below, Moderna's margin dropped by 95.9 percentage points over the last five years. It may have ticked higher more recently, but shareholders are likely hoping for its margin to at least revert to its historical level. Almost any movement in the wrong direction is undesirable because of its already low cash conversion. If the longer-term trend returns, it could signal it's in the middle of a big investment cycle. Moderna's free cash flow margin for the trailing 12 months was negative 55.8%.

Treasury announcement responsible for this morning's mini pop:

https://breakingthenews.net/Article/US-Treasury-increases-buyback-operation-sizes/66949448

Has put a dent in treasury yields so far. I'm not wise enough to understand exactly what this means as far as ramifications.

Can sell a Sep 180 put for 6 bucks right now. Net in at 174, or keep the 600 if it doesn't get down to 180

POWL - could bounce off the 200 day moving average here (which is just under 197) but has already done that 3 times in the past 16 trading days if it holds today, which to me always signals it is at higher risk for punching through on the next attempt. If it punches through, I see a good chance of heading to the mid 160s. At that point I would be a buyer.

If you buy here you might get a bounce, but I would put a tight stop on it if you're trying to trade it. My target to sell would be the high 230s if it manages a bounce, which is where the declining 50 day moving average will meet it along with heavy volume resistance to get past that..

Bitcoin going to finally make another run at a breakout

Also NOW killing it today with the giant green bar. If it could pick up some decent volume this thing is ready to run.
