A lot of chop on SOXL this past week or so. Seems like it's walking through mud trying to go higher.
But zooming out to the 1M chart and beyond, still a very clear upward trend, and continues to make higher lowers.

NOW looks like it might go up and touch 135-140 this week.
Honestly don't know that I've ever seen SOXL this flat over any 5 day period.
Market pulled over on the side of the road waiting for tomorrow's July CPI numbers before it gets moving again. Bias is still to the upside from everything I see.
I am curious on this. I am short the Aug 250 from a while ago but I don't see much reward from selling the Aug 250 now. Why not wait till the stock rises to sell the calls or buy a put instead . Or maybe sell the sep 250 to get a better premium

I like just selling a week or two out to pocket premium so just trying to scalp it really. I bought at a much lower cost so if it does run and I get called out, I'm ok to sell there and look for re-entry at another time

I think it was expecting lower. Bitcoin has dropped in reaction so far and prediction markets were favoring lower than projected numbers. I think the market punts to tomorrow to the PPI. I don't think this print moves the needle on the 50/50 rate hike predictions. I think we missed our chance for ATH on the Nasdaq today, but hopefully the PPI will come in cool and get us over the hump.

I tend to think it comes back to visit the low 100s at minimum again. The unlock still isn't really off the ground. Based on what was shared by tysker the other day, that is being slow rolled more than people thought.
