Without Kyndal Stowers yet again, No. 8 Texas A&M came up short at the AVCA First Serve as the Aggies were swept by No. 11 SMU on Sunday afternoon. Now at 0-2 after two matches in Milwaukee, the Maroon & White come back to Reed Arena for next weekend's Texas A&M Invitational.

1. Failed to be the aggressor. In Texas A&M’s second top-15 match at the AVCA First Serve, the Aggies struggled to find the freedom that made them so dangerous a season ago. For most of the match, they were playing catch-up, and when they did break through to take a lead, errors behind the service line washed away the momentum.

The Aggies have to find an answer to physical, well-established blockers, as SMU’s Favor Anyanwu kept a roof over their heads.
