I was behind $30k's yesterday afternoon logic regarding what I thought SPY was going to do today. I was wrong.

I have a resistance at 448.34. If we head that direction I don't think it will bounce there though.

I pay attention when we get below Bolinger bands.

I think we're headed to $440 - not saying we get there today but I'm not fighting the trend right now.

Question about options trading? If you are carrying longer dated options on a company and they announce a dividend or ex div, the price of the stock usually moves up the dividend amt the day before ex div right? It moves down following the dividend typically.

Does carrying an option in the direction of the move benefit the option holder? For example, if a company declares a one time special div, won't that raise the price of the stock before the ex div and therefore the price of the option?

Would appreciate any clarification. Thanks
