Similar to Mancini levels from yesterday. Above 4385 and there's upside to 4430. Get and hold above that and upside to 4540. Below 4385 triggers downside.

Gun to my head, I would say earnings is a catalyst upward if it doesn't shoot up before hand. I actually see two potential things happening here.. one bullish, one bearish. But at the moment both are pointing to immediate upside and I would even say $175 seems like it's sitting at the table waiting with a long flowing dress and a glass of Talisker 10.
I'll be watching AAPL today and potentially buying calls for a scalp.
I agree, however just last week AMD was downgraded by Piper Sandler and uncertainty around that deal was one of three reasons cited. I said the same thing you posted at the time.tailgatetimer10 said:

I will say this.. if AAPL drops below $150 at any point in the near future, it's likely in a deeper and longer term correction. I don't think it's likely. But it's a possibility.

T with a nice v fakeout. I rolled my weeky calls down from 26 to 25 this morning. Maybe I'll get my money back here.
I also bought some ATM spreads/diagonals. Buy Jan2024$23, sell Jul2022$23. I plan on continuing to roll the sold calls out each month until we close below $23 and it expires or until Jan2024.

For AAPL earnings scalp calls..
Model T between ATH and recent low is $169.04. 61% retracement is $172.42, and 78% retracement is $177.24. There are potential possibilities outside of these, but 50% and 61% are the likely main targets. We would want to set our call price + the premium we spend to land below Model T. So we'd need to get the weekly expiring $165 for less than $4.00.. and preferably less than $3.00 to make sure we can potentially break even or profit. But be careful because earnings moves can happen all at once and retreat before the market opens. So don't rush in. Watch for a while and feel confident with the setup and price.

This is a bunch of nonsense and I have debunked this a few times over the last year whenever this has come up.
Here are the facts.
1. Darkpool trades are done when ultra large players want to enter or exit without affecting the tape. Most of the time these are international orders. Think sovereign funds, etc..
2. These trades can be reported upto 24 hours from when it was made.
3. The trades are made at a pre negotiated price. That is why there is no way to know whether it was a buy or a sell unless the brokering bank tells you.
4. During times of high volatility it is common to see higher dark pool activity. Because that's when big money makes buy / sells in a big chunks.
Looks like SPY encountering resistance at 200SMA. Will see what happens here….

While SPY keeps going up, the value of my puts are going up too.
Decided not to sell my MA puts. My position is that the market isn't healthy, value is inflated, people have less money to use discretionary spending, debt insolvency is on the rise, and MA/V will suffer for it.
I know their quarterly report was good and all, but I don't care. This market/economy is on the iron lung and not thriving.

What strikes and expiries are you in on?
I would trade SPY today but clinic and a couple sick folks in the hospital. My allegiance to my patient cannot be divided. So I will just sit on the sidelines while you all take in the dough.
HCA looking for that gap fill back to 215-217.

Got all the way out while we decide a direction here.
Don't look now but NEE is back in the low 70s. I had a limit order in for them that never got filled about 8 months ago. It may find its way to upper 60s.
