To the poster that created the Stock Basis Tracker Google sheet - I think it should be updated to account for the money spent in the "Buy Back" column for the calls and puts. Is this correct, or am I missing something?
Edit: the sheet is great, I'm just trying to adapt it to have a little more functionality when you buy back sold puts and covered calls.

So, I bought a FUBO $41p to protect myself from a bad ER.
It seems li now to protect that profit would make sense. Actually, maybe 50 to take half my profits?

I sold April $2.50 cc on 1/2. That would take me well over net free if it gets to $2.50. Then probably hold the rest

2.50?! That would be epic.
Anyone else with thoughts? Are there expectations that DNN could go to the moon?
That's a good idea. I ended up adding a "bought back price" column and modified the formulas. Not sure I've worked out all the kinks yet.AgEng06 said:irish pete ag06 said:Did you figure this out? I ended up just making the price column an equation where I enter the relevant prices. Then I mark it as "bought back".
Example: sell a cc at $1.00, but it back for $0.15... the price cell would say "=1.00-0.15", check bought back, and the CC profit cell would show $85.
If I roll it, I do the same above for the closed call and enter the new call on another row. Sold puts are the same way.
I think that works correctly, but if not let me know.
This is becuase I sold covered calls right before the bell.Mostly Foggy Recollection said:

Listen to this man. If you study and believe in the fundamentals long term and have some patience and discipline, you can become incredibly wealthy.$30,000 Millionaire said:
you guys just have to stop freaking out about earnings reports. a good rule of thumb is recognizing that fundamentals prevail over a long time horizon. Overstock should be a $200 stock and Camping World should be a $70 stock. They will be, use the dips to load up.
what i've been doing is putting an X in the buy back column, then just updating the price to reflect the delta i bought it back for (negative number if i bought it back for a loss). then it seems to work.irish pete ag06 said:Did you figure this out? Can you imagine your spouse asking you what you've invested in and why and your response being "PLTR cause a twitter follow called Walrus says it is going 12x in the next 7 months"....
Ha. A couple years ago I mentioned to mine that I was going to buy SQ and she thought it was a bad idea since 'nobody uses that'. We went to a farmers market shortly after and all the vendors were using it and she wanted to know why I hadn't bought it yet. Reminded once again that I'm always wrong no matter whatNRD09 said:59 South said:
