To be fair, if earnings were a big jump (and set another run in place) I was going to sell to become net neutral and just let the rest of the shares ride, but that obviously won't happen for a while longer now

Which makes me think the recent $10B permian acquisition is sending ripple waves. That or something company level is going on. Shorts are up on the stock too.
SWN getting crushed as well
OSTK was partly a play on Bitcoin making a bounce back, but it never really followed through. I got stopped out of my position when it went below 38. The weekly is improving if you are still holding

Back in TWTR today. Sold a few weeks ago at $42.50 (cost basis was around $22).
LADR fell below the lower trend line today, good buy for anyone just looking for 8% dividend and steady growth

I'll be buying if it keeps up. No way companies aren't doing better with these prices, and then reserves should get a big boost at the end of the year as well. It may not be a short term play, but it's still a great value long term in my eyes.oldarmy1 said:

I'm thinking about taking some off the table and putting back into energy after the drop today. I have a history of not letting winners run though.

$4.45 on SN would be a technical reversal
CHK holding $4.50 would likely be a move upward Monday. Shorts surprised by that news naturally had to squash the run.
Look at the Aug 3rd call volume. Over 10k calls 4.50 to 5.50. I guarantee you that is a ton of shorts using options to cover.
No one trades that kind of volume straight up that close to expiration.

I believe First Data momentum points to blow out earnings. Lot of close expiration call options at $24 strikes. Wouldn't be covered calls that far out of the money.

Merrill Bank of America just issued a higher rating on CHK.
Over 75M shares traded on CHK today. Nearly 3 times average.
still trying to get in, just wont hit my limit.
Today is just not my day. Got in CHK right at the bell at 4.41. Down AH to 4.26
Worst trading day of the year for me. Made big bets that in hindsight were not a good idea, obviously. Now I am long twtr!
