Just made 100% on weeklies. I was buying them in anticipation of sell off from jobs report but worries about holding overnight now

I bought more today when market was near its high - march 30th and april 8th expirations

Bought a couple puts on the spy as things started to head south. Bought some weekkies and some out to march 31st. Obviously did well into the close, but I'm still holding them.

Hopefully that doesn't wreck me come morning.

I have one position I opened 20 minutes before close.

220p 4/6 SPY. It jumped 30% before close

loaded SPXU sub $26, we'll see what happens.

Pretty good runup these last couple of days. Thinking about moving my 401K balance to cash (obviously staying in the account) as I think we are going to drop down a good 10% or so at least before the charge back up. I would be very careful playing the market timing game with your 401k by fully going to cash. I have very similar thoughts as you, I believe, and have shifted a bit to cash but am still trying maintain some of the designated allocation I have for different asset classes.

For instance I've lowered my small cap exposure from 10 to 5% and mid cap from 15 to 10% -> rough figures. I started a very small part Monday... then late in the day yesterday after the big run up I did more, and then at today's peak (luckily) I sold off a little more.

You might say I'm leaning slightly away from my target allocations but I'm not getting completely out of them. Long term money stays exposed for the most part.

ETA - it appears I'm 20-25% cash among my accounts now (Taxable + Roth). This excludes cash holdings I have outside that I'm prepared to throw in if we see significant decline from these levels (ie 20%+)
