I bought a new house, dug a hole for a swimming pool, gunited it, filled it with drilling mud, bought three 2400bhp triplex pumps with charge pumps drawing mud out of the pool, and pumping it back in at insanely high pressure. I have hired a mud man and Derrick man on standby 24/hrs a day and am hotshotting in parts whenever anything fails. My Detroit diesels and I are the reason for the jump today.

My midstream MLP company operating in the Eagle Ford Shale experienced a "reduction in force" yesterday with 12 being given the option of transferring to the pipeline group or a severance package.

Fraclog is swelling and as oil approaches the 65 dollar mark wells will start to be completed again adding back to the supply glut. Eagle ford and Permian will have a lot of completion activity. There's probably over 2000 wells in these areas waiting to produce. Oil will likely flatten out for a while once we hit that milestone or even slide a bit.

MLP's are the next group to feel the pain LINN started the bloodletting.

Thats crazy being that MLP's generally are low risk and shallow decline with a modest CAPEX program. If they are in a bind after cutting distributions, the independents with active drilling programs are hemorrhaging.

That's alot of wells. Seems very high to me. I would imagine we could verify that by looking up recent wells that have been spudded with no 1st production date.

There was a great diagram going around yesterday at the conference that had the number of drilled but not completed wells in each major field. The number of non-completions in the Permain and Eagleford are astronomical.

Should this be "upstream MLP's" or are you throwing all of them in the same boat?

There was a graphic on B'berg TV this morning that had the number at ~2,800 in the EF and PB combined.

I assume he's talking upstream. Midstreams are sitting nice and fat right now.

Is a fraclog of 2,000 to 3,000 wells really that big?

According to the RRC:

Thenumber of oil and gas well completions per year in Texas increased from 27,182
in 2014 to 28,043 in 2015. (03/01/2013-03/01/2015) In the first three
months of 2015 the Texas Railroad Commission reported 4,832 total well
completions in Texas, compared to 4,090 from the same period in 2014.

Our frac crews are currently sitting idle bc we've caught up to the drilling rigs in the EF. Not sure what operators are running that large of a frac bank but we aren't one of them.
MaysAggie2015

Upstream and heavy levered. Sorry to not clarify.

I meant to say is the fraclog that big of a deal? It does not seem like 2,000-3,000 wells will have much of an impact when compared to the decline rates.

Should be upstream MLPs. The closer to the well head the more volatile. Transmission and distribution are somewhat...I stress somewhat...insulated.
