You guys do buy 87 octane , yes? Still surprises me that they're able to sell 85 at high altitudes.
Very weird to me that voters passed 5A and not 5B (douglas county). I'll take what we can get though, will have to try 5B in a few years.NASAg03 said:
Liberal landslide for all the local elections here in the Denver area. No real plan to address the homeless, cost of living, crime issues, or sub-standard public education other than spend more money.
So frustrating seeing all these people run from their liberal hell-holes on the West and NE coasts and vote the same here in CO.
These candidates have no experience or vision; only endorsements from Ed Perlmutter and Brittany Pettersen.
At least Prop HH was voted down. That was a shock.

Wife and I are being relocated to the Denver area from Houston in Feb. and are needing some help on who to choose for moving companies.
Who all have y'all used and is there anyone reputable? Everything we read online is 50/50

5A over 5B seems backwards to me.
Voted against 5A as a $60+ million yearly increase in taxes in perpetuity for a district with an operating budget of around $800 million this past year seems absurd. Not against increasing the tax revenue in general to benefit schools, but doing it with these terms felt pretty crooked.
Never really understood this 'advice'.OriolePete said:
And make sure you get a south facing driveway.
The one is Georgetown is worth the drive. It's beautiful and the entire town is decorated, there are horse-drawn wagon rides for $6, and their market covers all the businesses with a dedicated tent. And be sure to tour the historic hotel while you're there.dreyOO said:
Anyone been to a really good Christmas market? I'm willing to drive, but don't think Georgetown's really worth the haul if it's cold out. Think we're going to hit the one downtown unless I can find a better alternative.
I'm working with Cathy Miller at PorchLight properties, and I've been really impressed. There are a lot of good options near downtown Littleton, which is a cute area. Same with Englewood if you're looking down south. That's as far south as I've gone since I'm looking more in the Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Arvada areas.johnson2012 said:
X-post from Real estate board.
Y'all have any recs for Realtors or Lenders?
Wife & I plus our 5yo are looking to make the move from TX up to the Denver area at the end of this school year (May '24 give or take). Current target area is the South & West suburbs. We have family in CO Springs so want to be close-ish (but not too close..) I scrolled back a couple pages but didn't see much jump out on the subject. TIA
I think Englewood schools aren't great if I recall from our search a few years ago. We are in east Highlands Ranch (but not HR HOA, we are Wildcat Ridge). Feed into DougCo schools. They've had some turmoil on the board but I think the schools are generally still amongst the best in the metro area. The area has great trails but lacks some of the quaint downtown vibe that Littleton or Arvada have.NASAg03 said:I'm working with Cathy Miller at PorchLight properties, and I've been really impressed. I drove through there last week and WOW the store looks huge. Will it be their largest location? I feel sorry for the convenience store across the street.
I'm SO excited to have a Bucees and all its delicious food close by though! Now if Whataburger would move north of CS
